How do I configure Notifications for a Google Form?

Steps

  1. Open the Google Form you want to receive Notifications from.
  2. In the toolbar, look for the drop down menu “Tools”.
  3. Select “Notification Rules”.
  4. Select your notification criteria. This will give you the option to receive a notification when any change is made, when collaborators are added or removed, or when a user submits a form.
  5. Choose your notification preference. This comes in the form of a daily digest, or an immediate email when the criteria selected above is met.

Adding a Shared File or Folder to your Google Drive


Instructions
  1. Login to your email account through My.Georgiasouthern.edu.
  2. Click on the `MyApps ( Email, Docs, Sites, Calendar, Talk )` link in the portal.
  3. Now that you have your email open, look at the top right corner for an icon consisting of 9 little boxes (similar to a Rubik’s cube).
  4. In the drop down menu, select `Drive`.
  5. With Google Drive now open, locate the `Shared with Me` link in the left hand menu, or if you know the name of the file/folder, try searching for the file/folder name instead.
  6. Once you have located the file or folder that is shared with you, select it by clicking on the check box to the left of the file/folder name.
  7. You should now see a button under the search bar to `Add to My Drive`. Click the button.
  8. If the Google Drive application is installed on your computer, it should appear on your local drive shortly.

Creating a Desktop Shortcut to a Website


Instructions
  1. Move your mouse over to an empty spot on the desktop. (To a space with no icons.)
  2. Right-Click on the Mouse.
  3. Hover the mouse over `New` on the context menu.
  4. Select `Shortcut` from the context menu.

  5. Type the web address into the text field. (e.g., http://imaging.georgiasouthern.edu )

  7. Type a name for the shortcut.

Web Requests and Report / Query Requests consolidated with Service Requests

In an effort to provide the university with greater service, and reduce confusion, we have consolidated the Web Requests system and the Report / Query Request system with the main Service Request system.

To submit a Web request, simply go to the Service Request Form and select “Web Changes” as the type of Request.

As usual, once you have selected the “Web Changes” type of request, you will be required to enter the web address of the page you would liked changed, as well as the description of what you would like to have changed. Attachments may also be added at the bottom of the form. If you have any questions or difficulties in using the form, feel free to email bfwebmaster@georgiasouthern.edu for assistance.

To submit a Project / Query request, simply go to the Service Request Form and select “Report / Query Request” as the type of Request.

Once you have selected “Report / Query Request”, you will be required to enter the Criteria and the Fields On the Report, as well as the description of what you would like in the report.
